You notice that the fee for getting online CIBIL report for one time report is set as Rs.550.

You need to fill your personal details in the field 2-like Name, Last Name, DOB, Gender, PAN Card number, Email address. Than enter the captcha code and Acknowledge the terms and condition. Finally Click on “Procced to Payment”.

Step 2– Online payment

Once you click on Click on “Procced to Payment” tab, it will redirect you for online payment of fee, which is Rs.550. You can pay using net banking, credit card, cash card or debit card. Once your online payment is successful then page will automatically redirect towards CIBIL Authentication page. But before that you will get and Identification ID, this you need to write it down for future correspondence related to your payment.

Step 3- Authentication

It is the process which involves answering around 3-5 questions from you related to your credit cards and loans. Once this authentication is successful then you will be eligible to view the report online immediately. But be ensure that to you disabled your browser pop-up blocker.

If your authentication failed then you need to send the physical copies of Online Payment Confirmation copy, Identity proof and Address Proof (which are mentioned above) to the below mentioned address.

Jewellery purchase

High value jewellery purchase for amount greater than Rs.5,00,000 (5 Lacs) requires buyer to provide PAN number.

Opening a fixed deposit account or cash deposit for amount greater than Rs. 50,000 at any bank requires the permanent account number. Failure to submit the same would result in TDS getting deducted at 20% if the interest amount of FD account exceeds Rs. 10,000 which is higher than the current 10%.

All telecom companies have been mandated by Government of India to get PAN details of each applicant for normal or cellular connection to keep a tab on terrorism, extortion charges etc.

Investing in securities

Transactions exceeding Rs. 50,000 for equities/mutual fund/debentures/bonds requires investor’s PAN card.

Opening account at broker
